i hope i have not fully screwed up, it seems like my friends whom i have told my true feelings realy, really, deep down inside, love me, and that's why they have not gone to the elders.

also probably because they know that i love them and would never tell them something if i wasn't 100% convinced and knew that it wasn't true.. .

Welcome ILOVETTAT, I also agree with DOC. I'd be careful of identifying myself with posts because when things get dirty and a JC is formed they'll use your Ma, Pa, and Friends A,B, and C to testify against you. Glad you made it out, here's to your continued enlightenment- all the best.

How many Witnesses face judicial committees each year?

i wonder if there is any way to work out a rough figure for how many witnesses face judicial committees every year?

i guess one way would be to estimate what proportion of judicial committees result in disfellowshipping and multiply that by the official estimate from the watchtower that around 1% of jws are disfellowshipped every year.

can any elders give a rough idea what sort of proportion of judicial committees result in:.

My answer: 100%

My Judicial committee

it was six hours long.

at the beginning of the week i had four accusers and by the time i went (half way throught the week) i was up to twelve.

i was charged with apostasy, malicous slander, lying, revileing.

Label licker, sorry you had to go through all of that. Goes to show that those dudes will really dig for the dirt to publicly shame you, funny how the computer is now referred to as "Satan's Tool."

Doesn't WTBS use computers for a bunch of stuff?

i'm on page 90 right now...the info is definitely new and gives me a totally diff view as to how i used to think of faithful and discreet slave.

i was thoroughly disgusted with the way the brothers handled the oral sex and leadership problem and the insight on the scriptures book...... still have alot of questions though.

First off I must say that if your fiancee is already feeling bad about not giving all the facts he'll most likely cave and end up telling them to save face. As far as your question: "what is sexual immorality by jw standard?"

They can DF you for "uncleaness" but they have to determine if it was "gross" or not- greedy and lustful. I don't know what formula they use to determine it but you'll be in the back room for a while going through all those details until they finally figure out if they like you enough to reprove you or if the DF is what will keep the congregation "safe."

I don't believe anyone on this forum can help convince him but if you love him enough maybe you can ask him questions regarding your doubts and see how he responds. Do you really want to spend a lifetime with someone who will ostracize you once your heart has led you elsewhere, away from the "truth"?

The info available on forums like this one will be of help- it was for me. Convince yourself of what's really going on, the only hope for other people is that they rationalize whatever it is you decide to tell them. All the best,

I Just Had A Big Fat Bomb Drop On My Head and It Leaves Alot Of Questions

when i got home from work this afternoon my wife was standing near the door looking at me and said you need to sit down i have some hard news to tell you.

so i sat down and she began saying my brother called and i imminently ask if my mom had died.

she said no but my mother told my brother a deep family secrect that no one knows about.

Yeah, a discovery like that would have made me nauseous too.

"Should I try to contact this person?"

Speaking strictly as someone who grew up in the opposite situation (I'm the kid the other family never knew about) I can honestly say I had the same questions. When my circumstances will it I most definitely will try to meet those brothers and sisters I never knew, it will be liberating. If they suck- well then too bad- but if they're awesome then why not try to make up for lost time?

If they're JW's then I'm in a nightmare... haha

Is Grandma evil

bumped into an old acquaintance the other day, one of those who used to cross the road when they see me.

this time he was all smiles and even shook my hand.

to cut a long story short went for a pint and a chat and he apologised for his previous behaviour and he told me he is in the process of fading and this suprised me because he used to be a super pious dub.. he said the thing that made him start to think was when his 4yr old daughter asked him if her grandma was evil and he said of course not, her reply was why is jehovah going to kill her.

the day i've been waiting for is here.

i'm flying home to see family and some old friends, most of whom are jw.

since learning ttatt a few months back, i came to the decision i would have to tell my parents that we are no longer active and don't have any plans to return.
